Bromsgrove Sporting 0
Hereford 1 (Williamson 64')
Bromsgrove Sporting's pre-season schedule ended with a narrow defeat at home to Hereford.
Jordan Williamson's 64th minute goal was the difference between the two sided, in what was a fiercely fought friendly.
The game got off to a rather helter-skelter start for the Rouslers; Joe Doyle-Charles and Jaden Charles went off with injuries, whilst Josh Dugmore and Dan Trickett-Smith both got yellow cards for rash challenges.
The best chance of the opening half felt to Sporting's Lamin Barrow, who hit the post from close range after being set up by Brad Bood's volley.
There were chances for both sides early on in the second half; Trickett-Smith had a shot from 20 yards well saved before the Bulls' Cawley Cox hit the upright from the edge of the six yard box.
Bromsgrove's Billy Shaw missed the target from a promising position in the 54th minute - 10 minutes later, the game's only goal was scored, as Williamson neatly curled the ball home from inside the area after cutting in from the left.
The Rouslers had some great opportunities to level proceedings inside the final 20 minutes; livewire Barrow chopped inside but had his shot saved by Hereford stopper Theo Richardson before midfielder Simeon Maye also buried an early contender for goal of the season, as his half volley from 30 yards smashed the post - the net was left rippling and the upright shaking, despite the ball not going in.
