Boldmere St Michaels 4
Bromsgrove Sporting 3 (Crook 44' P, Cook 57' P, Rowe 65')
Bromsgrove Sporting's final away game of their pre-season campaign saw them lose narrowly to Boldmere St Michaels, by four goals to three.
Sporting's goals came via penalties from Harry Crook and Kieran Cook, along with a well taken effort from range by Luke Rowe.
Boldmere's No. 10 caused early issues for Sporting's defence, cutting through before striking wide from a one-on-one position.
Up the other end, Ryan Snape and Callum King-Harmes both had shots on goal saved by former Sporting keeper Jono Brown.
The deadlock was broken 23 minutes in, as the lively No. 10 capped off a run into the box with a curled effort into the top corner.
Sporting equalised a minute before the half time interval, as Harry Crook slammed a spotkick home after being brought down in the area.
The first chance of a goal-filled second half fell to Bromsgrove's Aaron Bishop, who had a shot kept out by Brown.
Boldmere retook the lead in the 53rd minute, as the No. 10 once again turned on the style inside the box before slotting it home.
Sporting levelled four minutes later through a Cook penalty, after he had a strike blocked by a Boldmere hand.
Keeping for Bromsgrove was U21s goalkeeper Charlie McNamara and he made a fine save from a long-range effort 59 minutes in before another former Rousler, defender Joe Hull, put the ball over from the near post.
This pressure eventually led to the fifth goal of the evening, as a Boldmere player put the ball in the net following McNamara's initial smart stop from a prior effort.
Sporting were once again level in the 65th minute, as Rowe caught Brown unawares with a well struck strike from around 25 yards out.
The scoring was complete six minutes later, as Boldmere's No. 17 got himself through on goal before putting the ball into the bottom corner.
Cook almost scored a fourth equaliser for the visitors, but his shot from an acute angle in the 83rd minute was straight at Brown.
