Bromsgrove Sporting 2 (Shaw 53' Matt 86')

Bromsgrove Sporting completed their away quartet of pre-season matches with victory at Bedworth United on Tuesday evening.

Second half goals from Billy Shaw and Jamille Matt ensured the Rouslers would make it a perfect four out of four for their friendlies on the road, after successes at Stourport Swifts, Sporting Khalsa and Rugby Town.

The first half was relatively few on chances, with Sporting's strike force of a trialist and Jake Jervis both unable to make the most of chances from decent positions.

The deadlock was broken eight minutes into the second half, as another trialist found Shaw at the back post, which allowed him to find the net from close range.

Yet another trialist clattered the crossbar with a fierce effort in the 70th minute; and that same trialist was involved in the second goal 16 minutes later, as his quick break and pinpoint pass to Matt eventually resulted in the forward coolly slotting home into the back of the net.
