AFC Birmingham 3 (2) Bromsgrove Sporting 5 (3) at Illey Lane

After a postponement a couple of weeks ago, Sporting finally managed to get to play a midweek training match against Midland Football League Division Three team, AFC Birmingham.

Despite being bitterly cold, the match went ahead and AFC took the lead on the 22nd minute before Zidan Sutherland equalised on 34 minutes. The home side went in front again just two minutes later only for Ryan Edmunds to even things up on the 38th minute. Blake Kindred put Sporting in front with two added minutes on the clock.

After the interval, Edmunds appeared to pull a hamstring and was replaced by player/manager Mike McGrath on 67 minutes. Then three minutes later, AFC equalised with a penalty.

However Sporting had the last say with Lewis Wright on 74 minutes and a second goal for Sutherland wrapped up the match for the visitors.
