Opposition

  • Prior to the 2019/20 being expunged, Tamworth were sitting second, with 65 points from 30 games (Sporting were fourth, 57 from 32).
  • Their away form in the 2019/20 league was P13 W9 D1 L3. Their last two away league matches of the 2019/20 season were 2-0 wins versus Redditch and Alvechurch. Prior to that, on the road, they lost 4-2 to Peterborough Sports and 1-0 to us.
  • They won their last six league matches of the 2019/20 season and have continued that fine form into the 2020/21 season. In the league, they sit third, with 7 points from 9 (P3 W2 D1)
  • A 1-1 draw at Peterborough Sports was followed by home wins versus St. Ives Town (4-2) and Barwell (2-1). Both of these wins have seen Tamworth come from behind to gain all three points.
  • They have also made good progress in the Emirates FA Cup this season, having already beaten Stourbridge (3-3 after 90 mins, 4-3 on pens) and Evesham United (3-1)

Despite the crowd limits, lets do what we can to make a big impact and cheers the Rouslers on. For those who can get to the match – make your presence felt and get your ticket whilst you still can, for this massive match!
