OPPOSITION

  • Loughborough Students are playing in the United Counties Football League Premier North Division – two levels below Sporting.
  • They are currently fourth in the league, with nine points from four games (P4 W3 L1).
  • Their goal difference (+10) is the joint second best in their league
  • Their defeat was on the opening day (vs Melton Town, 1- 2 at home). Wins have come since against Newark (7-0, home), Eastwood CFC (0-1, away), and Quorn (1-4, away).
  • Their two previous games in this season’s Emirates FA Cup have seen them beat Staveley Miners Welfare 2-1 (away) and Newark 3-2 (home). Both teams play at Loughborough’s level.

If you are coming to the game, get behind the lads and make the VG a fortress – your support is a massive boost and we will need it if we are to follow on from last Saturday’s victory! We look forward to seeing you there for the Magic of the Cup!
