LADIES & VETERANS TEAMS: Results And Fixtures

The following is an update on Sunday’s results for our Ladies and Veterans Teams, plus news of both of their respective next fixtures.

LADIES TEAM

  • The Ladies drew 0-0 at home to Hereford Pegasus Ladies on Sunday in the league.
  • Manager Alan Horton commented: “It was a proper football match that had everything – passion, commitment, good passing football, and digging in when needed from both sides. A draw was a fair result for one of the best games I’ve been involved with.
  • Alan added: “All the ladies were exceptional but if my standout was captain Amy Kendall, who led by example. A top quality centre half.”
  • The Ladies are away this Sunday (6th February) to Inkberrow Eagles Ladies Firsts. 2:00 KO.

VETERANS TEAM

  • It was another good win for the Veterans on Sunday, winning 4-1 away at Coles Lane. Mark Rollins scored a brace, with Earl Jordan adding another. The remaining goal was an own goal.
  • They are now eight points off top spot, with five Games in hand.
  • The Vets have a big game this Sunday (6th February) versus Hampton at the Victoria Ground. Kick off is 10:30.
