LADIES & VETERANS TEAMS: Results And Fixtures

The following is an update on Sunday’s results for our Ladies and Veterans Teams, plus news of both of their respective next fixtures.

LADIES TEAM

  • Sunday’s game was a very physical game in the County Cup second round, where the ladies were beaten 3-1 by Cookley Firsts. After a great start, injuries meant for most of the game the ladies played with 10. All in all, it was a great effort. Manager Alan Horton commented: “The ladies put a shift in and deserved more, but good luck to Cookley in the next round.”
  • The Ladies are at home this Sunday (28th November) to Welland Ladies (2:00 KO). Entry is free!

VETERANS TEAM

  • It was a great 3-0 win on Sunday, against a solid Solihull side, with goals from Matty Wynn, Leon Mooney and Ollie Jones. Bromsgrove Sporting legend Daniel Morris was awarded the Man of the Match.
  • This win put the Bromsgrove Vets at the top of the league.
  • The Veterans are having a weekend off – their next match is away, on the 5th December, in the Third Round of the County Cup vs Coleshill Town.

With Sporting’s First Team not in action this weekend, why not show your support for our ladies! It would be greatly appreciated, as they look to continue their impressive start to the season!
