JANUARY PLAYER OF THE MONTH: Tom Taylor receives his award

Bromsgrove Sporting’s January Player of the Month, as voted for by the fans, Tom Taylor, received his award, sponsored by Ace Embroidery, before our Southern League Premier Central game versus Lowestoft Town on Saturday.

Tom, who secured 30% of the vote, celebrated the occasion with Sarah Lammas, his sponsor for the season. Sarah was representing herself and Taylor & Co. Accountants (taylorandco.org)

An extremely consistent month, which saw Tom feature in five Man of the Match votes (from six games), in which he won one, were undoubtedly massive factors in the defender winning the accolade.

On receiving the award, Tom commented: “I’d like to thank everyone who voted for me, plus my team mates, management, the fans and everyone involved in the club.

“It’s a massive privilege to be on the list for Player of the Month, but to win it was a great feeling.

“It’s always special playing for this club! The fans are on a different level and they really are the 12th man!

“We’ve started another month now and we know we need to try and start a good run again.

“I’ll try my best to play my part. I do believe we have a great group of players here and it’s one of the best dressing rooms I’ve been in.

“We are all pulling the same way; Bren, Mase (Andy Mason) and all the staff give us all the preparation we need and the fans who get behind us home and away have been top class all season.

“We need you in numbers now, as it’s near the business end of the season and why can’t we achieve something special!

“A mention to Graham Scott for being the second best tea maker in the league 😂”
