Saturday 9th of December saw the Bromsgrove Sporting Colts U13’s conduct a 6 hour round trip to Norfolk to face Kings Lynn in the last 32 of the JPL National Cup. Â
In the previous round the Colt’s had defeated Corby Town at home 5-2. However, the long trip to Norfolk was set to be a much sterner challenge with the hosts unbeaten at home for a season and currently top of the league above Bromsgrove.
In windy and wet conditions the Colts dominated much of the first half taking a 1-0 lead into halftime which was doubled soon into the second half. Â The last 10 minutes however proved to be a nail biter with firstly the Colts extending their lead to 3-1 which was almost instantly reduced to 3-2 however the Colts dug deep to claim a superb win which sets up for a mouthwatering tie on January 6th in the last 16 away to Kidderminster Harriers.
