FA CUP: Belper Town Away

In the First Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Cup, Sporting have been drawn away at Belper Town.

The tie will be played on Saturday 31st August (3pm KO)

Belper play in the Northern Premier League East Division – one level below Bromsgrove.

They currently sit top of the league, having won both of their opening games against Heaton Stannington (away, 1-2) and Bradford (Park Avenue) (home, 1-0).

In the last round of the FA Cup, they beat Lutterworth Town 3-1 at home.

On this tie, manager Paul Smith commented: “Belper is a lovely place to go to, with proper football people that are very knowledgeable.

“They have had a great start to their season, winning both league games and their opening FA Cup match too.

“It’s a difficult tie but one, if we perform well in, we can win.

“We need to put this to bed for now, with two huge league games to come before that.
