Ahead of tonight’s Worcestershire Senior Cup match, at home to Pershore Town (7:45 KO), interim manager Scott Adey-Linforth has spoken about the match and the current situation at the club…
“Tonight, we host Pershore Town in a Worcestershire Senior Cup Quarter Final.
“The lads are in good spirits after a solid point and clean sheet away at Leiston; the boys gave everything for Smudge and were unfortunate not able to come up with a deserved winner.
“It’s been a difficult weekend for all the staff and players on the back of Smudge leaving. Everyone at the club is grateful for the hard work he put in, and I’m very thankful to him personally for giving me the opportunity to coach at this great club.
“The spotlight is now on this match with Pershore; they’ve had a relatively good start to the season and will be coming here with a lot of confidence.
“The lads are focused on bringing the same resilient attitude to the UK Electrical Stadium that was shown on Saturday, hoping to add a few goals as well.
“Your support is vital and the team need you to get behind them more than ever – not just tonight but looking ahead to Saturday’s fixture against Barwell as well. Let’s get the place rocking!”
