COACHES’ CORNER: Scott Adey-Linforth Previews Banbury United

Ahead of Tuesday’s league match at Banbury United (7:45 KO), manager Scott Adey-Linforth has looked at the opposition and Saturday’s match…

“Tomorrow, we travel to Banbury, in what will be yet another difficult fixture this month.

“Saturday’s game was a great game for the neutral, but quite stressful for those involved! I think the saying a game of two halves is very fitting.

“I felt our red card was soft and, to then concede from the resulting free kick, made it the worst possible start to the second half.

“The lads showed great resilience to get back in front, but again it was disappointing to be pegged back late on.

“Overall, it was a good point in difficult circumstances, with a few players missing with illness/knocks and players playing out of position.

“To get seven points out of the last three games is a big positive.

“Onto Banbury tomorrow, who come into the game on the back of a great win against Quorn. That win was at home and Banbury is never an easy place to go to.

“In terms of the squad, we will assess the lads over the next 24 hours and go from there.

“I look forward to seeing you tomorrow night.”
