“We head to Belper for our first FA Cup tie of the season. Belper have had a fantastic start to the season and top their division, albeit a level below.
“They will obviously fancy their chances, especially being at home.
“We go into the game on the back of a narrow defeat on Bank Holiday Monday against Halesowen. Although beaten, I felt we played well, and a similar or better performance to that will be enough to get something out of the tie.Â
“Squadwise, Keanu Cooper and Shaq Leachman-Whittingham have dual-registered with Lye Town to get some game time.
“Meanwhile, Reece King is a doubt with a calf strain and will need a fitness test.
“Two of our Under 21s, Bo Morris and Archie Thurston, have impressed recently and have now signed first team forms. I look forward to watching them develop.
“Finally, we have our first supporters coach of the season coming to Belper. It’s great news and a brilliant shot in the arm to the players and I.
“Hopefully this will be the first of many this season, and we look forward to seeing our supporters up there.”
