Ahead of Boxing Day’s home match versus Stourbridge (3:00 KO), manager Mike McGrath has previewed the fixture. He looks at his return to the field of play and the push for an all important three points…
“After a few weeks off, the last two games have been pleasing. I feel they’ve been similar to how we’ve been playing all season. We have really competed well in all our games and the lads have given everything.
“It was good to be back playing, as I feel I can help the team more when I am on the pitch and I still feel fit – even after two months out.
“Before the last two games, I would have taken a solid performance and a point from each. However, after the games, I’m actually disappointed we’ve not gone and won both.
“Now my aim is to build a winning mentality and try to push this group into believing that we should be winning games; we have the ability – that’s for sure.
“I’m positive a win will boost the confidence of the group and allow us to go on a run. The Stourbridge game feels like a good time to start, so I hope the fans get behind the boys as usual and we can get the win our performances have deserved.”
