COACHES’ CORNER: Mike McGrath Previews Long Eaton United

Ahead of tomorrow’s home match vs Long Eaton United (3:00 KO), manager Mike McGrath has previewed the fixture. He looks at recent performances, reflects on a recent departure, and gives a message to Sporting fans…

“We go into the Long Eaton game after four solid displays. A great win against local rivals Stourbridge and a really hard earned point on the road against Telford shows we can, and have been able to, compete with anybody in this league.

“I’m pleased with how the team have applied themselves so far and now I’m looking for us to really push on and have a strong second half of the season.

“Tom Taylor, who has been a brilliant servant to the club, has left and I wish him all the best and want to thank him for his efforts.

“I’m looking forward to seeing our fans get behind the boys again, as we need their support. We really appreciate it, and hopefully another win at home gives you something to cheer about – the lads will, as always, give everything to make that happen.”
