COACHES’ CORNER: McGrath and Nicholls Preview AFC Telford United

Ahead of our New Year’s Day visit to AFC Telford United (3:00 KO), our management team of manager Mike McGrath and head coach Craig Nicholls have previewed the fixture. They look at the festive period so far and the task at hand…

Mike comments: “After three strong performances, we go into arguably our toughest game of the season, away to Telford.

“They’ve been on a really good run of form after a rocky start to the season, but they seemed to have now found their feet.

“We will need to be at it if we are to get anything from the game – it’s a test the players and myself are looking forward to.

“There was a good turn out for the game against Stourbridge, so I’m hoping now the fans can be given something to cheer about, more often than not, as we head into the New Year.

Craig comments: “Firstly, can I say a Happy New Year to all the Rouslers fans, staff, volunteers and players. A huge congrats needs to go to our goalkeeping coach Matt and his partner on the birth of their son.

“As for Telford, we know its is going to be a tough game against one of the favourites to win the league, but as we’ve shown this season, we can go toe to toe with anyone.

“The lads will be confident after out Derby win on Boxing Day, so they should be looking forward to the game.”
