Ahead of Saturday’s season opener, at home to Leiston, manager Bren Kelly has previewed the fixture, looking at the importance of a big turnout and vocal home support.
“This Saturday, we welcome Leiston to the VG for a much longer for league game, as we start our season.
“Football has been truly missed by fans, players and staff at hundreds of clubs up and down the country, so it’s great to have it back.
“Our rebuilt team is progressing well and everyone is eager and hungry to gain a place in the squad. Leiston have also rebuilt somewhat, so it’ll be a tough game, as every season opener always is and a little trip into the unknown.
“Then we make the short trip to our neighbours Alvechurch on Tuesday – both games will be tough, but we are quietly confident of gaining good results.
“This Saturday, myself, my staff and my squad would love to see as many of our brilliant fans at the VG as possible.
“As always, we endeavour to portray a brand of football that is easy on the eye and make you fans proud to watch, so please let’s try to all come together at the VG on Saturday as much as possible.
“The roars in the Shed and around the ground have been missing for too long now, so let’s get it back. See you all Saturday!”
