COACHES’ CORNER: Bren Kelly previews Hitchin Town

Ahead of Saturday’s league match at home to Hitchin Town (3:00 KO), manager Bren Kelly has previewed the fixture, looking at the opposition, the importance of a big performance and a squad update.

“It will be a dangerous game this Saturday against Hitchin, a team that are capable of beating anyone on their day, having beaten the likes of Peterborough Sports and Stourbridge away from home in 2020 already.

“We would like to think we are far better than when we played against them in October’s reverse fixture; however, they may feel the same too.

“All hands are to the pump in the team and I’ll be expecting high standards from the squad, as per usual.

“This is a home game that we must win if we are serious about maintaining this challenge.

“Mikey (Taylor) & Jak (Hickman) are out with injuries, but we will still have a squad that is strong enough to try and get the win.

“I’m hoping the 12th man turn out in big numbers once again; truly, they have been so important this season and will continue to be so.”
