COACHES’ CORNER: Bren Kelly previews Alvechurch

Ahead of our second match in the inaugural Red Recruitment Cup, away to Alvechurch on Saturday (3:00 KO), manager Bren Kelly has previewed the fixture, giving an update on the make-up of the squad.

“Another full blooded derby in store for us this Saturday, as we make the short trip to Lye Meadow.

“Tuesday’s performance was far more acceptable and we need to take that into Saturday – we won comfortably at Alvechurch last term, but it means nothing given it turned out to be void.

“We have not got a full strength squad available, so as I type these notes we are trying to get some cover signed in time for Saturday

“More bragging rights are at stake in this tournament – we hope our Sporting faithful will travel in numbers to support us.”
