CLUB NEWS: Lyden Announced as New Coach for Our Football Education Pathway

Bromsgrove Sporting are delighted to welcome our midfielder Jordan Lyden as the new football coach on the club’s Football Education Pathway. Jordan currently holds the UEFA B football coaching licence and is an experienced coach in the local area.

Iain Queen, Director of Football, commented: “With his background in professional football, Jordan’s experience is going to be invaluable, and this is a fantastic opportunity for young players to learn from his knowledge of the game. Having played international football for Australia U20s and played in the Premier League for Aston Villa, Jordan has had an excellent grounding in football.

“We have had plenty of interest in this new coaching role; however, it was important that Rod (Brown – chairman) and I took our time and found the right person. Jordan has shown a great hunger to be a part of the new partnership, and he ticks all the boxes.

“Since we announced this new partnership with Colmers School and Sixth Form College, Jordan has been keeping in contact with me and, off his own back, attended the taster day sessions which we put on at the UK Electrical Stadium.

“Jordan currently does the same role at Sutton College, where he helps develop youngsters at their educational centre, so he already has experience of working with teenagers who are looking to develop their football skills alongside their studies.”

Commenting on the news, Jordan said: “I’m delighted to be working with Colmers School and Sixth Form College and can’t wait to get started in seeing what talent we have and how we can develop and progress moving forward.”

This exciting partnership between Bromsgrove Sporting and Colmers School and Sixth Form College will start in September 2025 and is available for students, male or female between the ages of 16-19. Anyone interested in joining should contact Iain Queen at iain@bromsgrovesporting.co.uk
