Bromsgrove Sporting are delighted to announce that Leon Broadhurst will be returning to the club, to take on the role as assistant manager.
As a player, Leon achieved legendary status as a player with both Sporting and Stourbridge. He went on to gain managerial experience with the Glassboys, and now takes on the role as assistant to manager Tim Flowers.
On returning to his hometown club, Leon commented: “I am looking forward to being back in football. I have a great history with Bromsgrove Sporting, as a player and captain.
“It’s a place I have immense respect for and brilliant memories. Being my hometown club, I thoroughly understand what the fans and club expect and I look forward to be with Tim and amongst the team in achieving this.
“I’m looking forward to being back in the dressing room, supporting Tim and the team, to drive us forward to reach our goals.”
Meanwhile, we can announce that the vastly experienced Dan Price will be joining the club as goalkeeping coach.
Like Leon, Dan is from Bromsgrove, and counts Redditch, Hereford and Coleshill amongst his former clubs.
On joining Sporting, Dan commented: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining Bromsgrove Sporting. As soon as Tim gave me the call, the opportunity to join my hometown club was one that I, as a Bromsgrove lad, couldn’t turn down.
“I have a really great working relationship with the gaffer, as we know what we are both about. I’m buzzing to be in and hopefully, with my experiences at Step Three, I can help the group.”
We hope you will join us in welcoming both Leon and Dan to Sporting!
