CHRISTMAS DAY: Sporting Opening Its Doors

Last week, Sporting opened its doors for anyone who was in need of some company on Christmas Day.

Whether that was somebody on their own, or a small family feeling isolated, our Rousler Bar provided a place for some chat, a drink and some festive cheer!

We was pleased to see a number of people turn up, as well as club directors who came to check in and support the event.

We were also grateful to both of our Ladies sides and our girls U18s for providing a wonderful hamper for the day.

Sporting’s head of commercial and hospitality, Anita Gemmell, commented: “Opening our doors on Christmas Day was about people – families, volunteers, and those who just needed to not feel lonely.

“It was nice to give a little back to our local community, with the greatly received free drinks and snacks from our ladies teams making it all the better.”
