Bromsgrove Sporting 2 (Barrow 29′, Matt 79′)
Leek Town 1 (Heath 90+2′)
Bromsgrove Sporting made it six wins in a row with victory in the FA Cup over Leek Town.
Goals from Lamin Barrow and Jamille Matt put Sporting into a two goal lead; a late goal from Connor Heath injected some nerves into the home side inside the final few minutes, but the Rouslers ultimately held out to put themselves into the hat.
Sporting had a penalty in the 25th minute, after the lively Barrow was brought down in the area – Matt stepped up to take it, but keeper Kornel Miscuir went the right way and palmed the effort away.
The deadlock was broken just four minutes later, as a right footed strike from Barrow found the net via a deflection from a defender and a hand from Miscuir.
Former Leek man Ollie Harrison had to be alert to make a couple of solid blocks towards the end of the half.
Joe Doyle-Charles had an opportunity 12 minutes into the second half to double the lead, but his shot was palmed away well by Miscuir.
Matt would atone for his penalty miss by bagging in the 79th minute – Barrow had an initial shot deflected into the path of the former Walsall man, who tapped in from close range.
Tamworth loanee Adam Jasper had a shot saved for Sporting before Heath halved the lead in injury time, with a well taken strike from range that found the top corner.
