PLAYER OF THE MONTH: Softley on February Award Win

Earlier this month, defender Luke Softley celebrated winning Player of the Month for February.

Luke’s sponsor for the season is our wonderful Ground Force team, who were represented in the above photo by the incredible Brian Poole!

Luke won February Player of the Month with a massive 61% of the vote, seeing off competition from Aaron Roberts and Niall Flint.

Brilliant performances against Leiston and Sudbury – the former game being one where he scored – were undoubtedly factors in the versatile defender winning the award.

In winning this, he became the first player this season to win the Player of the Month accolade twice.

On receiving the award, Luke said: “I’d just like to thank everyone that voted for me – it means a lot.

“We’ve got one big push now and we need you to be our 12th man. I’m looking forward to seeing you all at our next home match, on Easter Monday versus Halesowen!

“Thank you all once again – up the Rouslers!”

A thoroughly deserved award for Luke, in what has been a brilliant season for him.
