MARK CRISP CHARITY MATCH: Information

Bromsgrove Sporting’s UK Electrical Stadium will be hosting a charity match to raise funds for the local Primrose Hospice, in memory of Rovers legend Mark Crisp, who sadly passed away in October 2024.

Many of Mark’s former teammates have dusted off their boots and will form an old Rovers team to play Birmingham City All Stars on Sunday 22nd March, kicking off at 11:00.

The Hospice supported Mark and his family through his diagnosis and illness, and they continue to do great work in the community, for people in need.

Many people will remember Mark form the FA Cup Third Round Tie in January 1994, when Barnsley were the visitors, with him scoring the Rovers goal. Many of his teammates that day will be at the match as well as, cheering on from the sidelines.

The Rovers Team has been assembled by Stewart Brighton – it includes Rovers and Sporting legends Steve Stott, Colin Radburn, John Snape and many more, with Stewart slotting in at his usual left back role. They will be wearing a Rovers strip, specially designed by our kitmakers, S66 Sports.

Mark’s son Max is also organising an auction, post-match, in the Rousler Bar, with signed shirts from Premier League & England players, including Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers.

Max said: “My family would like to thank the Blues team as well as my dad’s old teammates for coming together to remember a great footballer, loving husband, and great dad.

“The Primrose Hospice were fantastic in looking after us all and I hope the money raised goes some way to helping people who find themselves in a similar position to ourselves.”

If anyone would like to donate raffle prizes or sponsor some part of the event, then please contact the club at hello@bromsgrovesporting.co.uk and we will pass the information to the right people.

Save the Date – Sunday 22nd March 2026, 11:00 KO, ticket cost £5.00. All tickets will be purchased on the gate on the day.
