LADIES

  • The Ladies were at home to Worcester City Women last weekend, for a County Cup quarter final encounter. Before the game, both teams paid their respects to Ladies supporter, and captain Amy Goodison’s late father, Malcolm Kendall, with a minute’s silence.
  • The Ladies may be out of the cup after losing 1-5, but the management were very proud of the performance, with many positives to take. Sporting’s defensive endeavour made Worcester work hard for their chances, with Player of the Match Amy Goodison and Lucy Pearl making a number of important blocks and interceptions, with several impressive saves by Maya Smailes. We wish Worcester the best of luck for the semi-final.
  • This Sunday, the Ladies face Halesowen Town Ladies in the league (2:00 KO). The game will be take place at the UK Electrical Stadium – details on the game can be found on the Ladies’ Twitter/X page and Facebook page.
