Ahead of Saturday’s league match at AFC Sudbury (3:00 KO), manager Scott Adey-Linforth has previewed the fixture, starting with the importance of the trip itself…
“Tomorrow, we finally have our first ‘proper’ coach trip of the season, as we make the long journey to Sudbury – albeit we had a coach to Leek in the FA Trophy, but this feels like the first one in truth.
“I think these journeys are important to build a rapport and relationships within a squad of players, so I’m really looking forward to it.
“On Tuesday, we were obviously nowhere near the level and we are looking to put this right as soon as possible.
“I’d like to thank Reece King for his service over the past 12 months. I’d also like to point out that he played through the last two matches with injury – testament to the kind of person he is.
“The lads worked hard on Thursday and are fully prepared for tomorrow. Rest assured, we’ll do our best to bring back the points.”
