Ahead of Saturday’s league match, at home to Needham Market (3:00 KO), manager Scott Adey-Linforth has spoken about the opposition and the squad heading into the game…

“Tomorrow, we host Needham Market, in what is a big weekend of football for us.

“Needham will be a very difficult challenge. Having just been relegated from the division above, they’ll be doing everything they can to bounce back.

“We come into the game off the back of a difficult game against Spalding. The lads gave absolutely everything and I was gutted that we came up short.

“It’s been a difficult start with injuries and suspensions, but thankfully this week we finally welcome back Reece King from his three match ban, as well as Jordan Lyden from injury.

“I’m pleased to say that all the lads that came off with knocks against Spalding (Luke Benbow, Kobe Hall, Josh Ezewele and Bo Morris) are all fit and ready to go for the weekend.

“Finally, as youv’e already seen, Paul McCone has made the decision to move back to Stratford. It’s no secret he had a difficult start to life here and, after speaking with his family, he’s made the decision to leave.

“I’m gutted to lose him, but understand family comes first. I wish Paul nothing but the best going forward.

“Thank you for your continued support – I apologise that our home form hasn’t started as well as it could have and we’re working as hard as we can to change this.”
