TRIAL DAY: Prospective Post-16 Students – 14th April

Bromsgrove Sporting is delighted to offer any prospective post-16 students the opportunity to attend a trial day at the UK Electrical Stadium on Monday 14th April.

The day will run in the School Easter Holiday from 10am until 2.15pm. It will start with a 1-hour training session with our UEFA qualified football coach, before food and refreshments at lunchtime. Players will then get the opportunity to play a full size 11 vs 11 match on the stadium’s pitch.

There will be parking available at the ground, and we welcome parents/carers to come along and watch the session at the UK Electrical Stadium (B61 0DR). At the end of the session, there will be a talk in the Rousler Bar regarding the A-Level and BTEC offers from Colmers School and Sixth Form College.

Football Development Officer, Iain Queen, comments: “This is a fantastic opportunity for local footballing talent to continue their studies and represent Bromsgrove Sporting Football Club. This is the start of a new journey for the club and something which we are excited to see grow and flourish.

“Colmers School and Sixth Form College are offering an extensive list of A-Level options on their football pathway – players can choose either an A-Level pathway across a range of subjects or a BTEC Sports pathway. We understand the importance of a first-class education and do not want to limit our player options and future prospects.

“Football at a young age is all about development and we welcome players of all abilities to come along for the trial day. If Bromsgrove Sporting can help them on their football journey, then we are doing our job as a community club.”

We kindly ask that players arrive in sportswear, including suitable boots/footwear for a grass pitch, and wear shin pads. Bromsgrove Sporting matchday kit will be provided for the afternoon game. This game will also be recorded using our VEO (Video Enhanced Observation) technology.

To help us prepare for the day, if you are interested in participating and aged between 16-19, then all we ask is that you complete the Google Forms link to register (or QR code on the poster above). The session is available to both males and females
