U21s SUMMARY: The Latest News

Bromsgrove Sporting’s U21s have had an abrupt end to 2024, after their scheduled match at the weekend just gone against Coventry United U21s was called off after the Warwickshire-based team’s pitch became waterlogged.

This was the only fixture officially scheduled for December, with the team now not due to play until the New Year.

With that in mind, this week saw the team receive their confirmed fixtures for January 2025.

The U21s are set to play an away match against Stourbridge U21s on January 4th, which was previously called off in November, and return to the UK Electrical Stadium against Bedworth United U21s, for their first home game since October.

The team will also visit Solihull Sporting U21s later in the month before facing Meadow Park in the quarter-final of the Worcestershire Football Association Saturday Cup at home.

Speaking about the New Year preparation, U21s joint-manager Mark Reeve said: “The lads need the games, but good focus between now and Christmas on training will be key to hitting the road head-on in January.”

On the side-lines, Ollie Cunningham, Archie Thurston and Charlie McNamara are still recovering from their injuries and the team wishes them all the best as they return to full fitness.
