NEW ADDITION: Left Back Down Under – Melbourne Signs

Bromsgrove Sporting are pleased to announce the signing of left back Jamie Melbourne.

Jamie made his debut for the Rouslers in yesterday’s match against Halesowen Town, in which he delivered a solid first outing.

On joining Sporting, Jamie commented: “I’m delighted to sign for this club. In the small amount of time I’ve been here, I’ve seen that we have a great group of lads with plenty of talent, along with the staff adding to that.

“The fans on my debut were great and it really makes a difference. I’m sure they’ll help us throughout the season and I’m really looking forward to what we can do this season.”

Manager Paul Smith commented: “I’ve had to bide my time a little bit to secure a left back I’m happy with, with Cal (King-Harmes) and Aksum (White) both doing really well for us on their unnatural side.

“Jamie comes from a pro background, has done very well at Redditch, and has since been over to America to play. I thought he and Aksum both did brilliantly in wide areas yesterday against very good players. I’m pleased to have secured him.”

We hope you will join us in welcoming Jamie to Sporting!
