Bromsgrove Sporting 4 (Bishop 31' P, Shaw 79', 90', Leachman-Whittingham 83')

Bromsgrove Sporting notched up their third win from as many pre-season matches on Tuesday evening, courtesy of a 4-0 victory over Stourport Swifts at Walshes Meadow.

Striker Aaron Bishop gave Paul Smith's side the lead from the penalty spot just after the half hour mark before a brace from Billy Shaw and a well taken effort from Shaquille Leachman-Whittingham, all scored late in the second half, ensured the Rouslers' 100% start to pre-season would continue.

Bromsgrove started the game sharply, with Reece King and Bishop both putting headers over the bar before the latter had a one-on-one effort saved by Dominic Richards in the 23rd minute.

Sporting's Aaron Roberts put a strike over the upright moments later but it wouldn't be long until the opener came, as Bishop sent Richards the wrong way with a left footed penalty after the lively Harry Crook was brought down in the area.

King and Jack Newell both missed the target for the visitors with shots inside the first 20 minutes of the second half, whilst Darryl Knights was unable to test Sporting stopper Charlie Price with a 70th minute header.

Shaw doubled the lead in the 79th minute with a drive that went in via the post after beating his defender with ease.

Leachman-Whittingham added another goal to his pre-season tally with a neatly taken effort from close range four minute later.

The scoring was completed in the 90th minute by Shaw, with a goal very similar to his first; he had a pop from distance that clipped the post before going in.
