COACHES’ CORNER: Paul Smith Previews Barwell

  • Coaches’ Corner is sponsored by FUSO, Bromsgrove’s only authentic wood-fired pizzeria, built from a love for Italian cuisine and hand-made artisanal pizzas.

Ahead of Saturday’s league match at home to Barwell (3:00 KO), manager Paul Smith has spoken about the arrangements for the game and his desire to see a lively Victoria Ground…

“My role tomorrow is purely an observing one, which I’m looking forward to immensely.

“Luke (Rowe) and Aaron (Roberts) will take the side and, with safety secured, hopefully the boys can go out and let the shackles off, giving it a right go to secure three points in the final game of the season.

“It’s been a tough season both on and off the pitch for the club, but now there are huge signs of optimism for the future.

“I’m looking forward to meeting lots of fans, new and old, at the game, and at the players presentation in the bar afterwards.

“You, our fans, are key to any success we strive to get next season – every single one through the gate going forward will help us reach our objectives.

“I remember when I was last here at Steps Five and Six, regularly getting attendances of 1000+ for home games; I want to get that back, and the club needs to get it back. Those that were lucky enough to be here during those days will testify that the atmosphere was amazing!

“So, grab your friends, and to those that have not been for a while, come down tomorrow and let’s start to get this place going again!”
