The First Team lost 2-1 at Berkhamsted at the weekend. This Saturday, they face Needham Market at home (3:00), on Non League Day.

LADIES

The Ladies’ game at the Victoria Ground at the weekend was frustratingly called off, due to the weather. They are at home on Sunday, in the League Cup, against Inkberrow Eagles Ladies, in a repeat of the previous weekend’s postponed fixture.

VETERANS

The Veterans’ game at the Victoria Ground was called off at the weekend. They are away this Sunday, vs Hollyfields, in the league.

GIRLS NEWS

Under 9: Bromsgrove U9 Girls worked very hard against a well established and organised Droitwich team.

It was the first time this season our U9s have had a full squad on match day, enabling all the girls to get game time together as a team.

The girls did well in trying to exercise what they have done in training in the match and, at times, put some good passing together, along with pushing themselves forward to attack

Player of the match was Aibhlinn and all girls played well, with positives to take from the game.

It was great to have Cllr Sam Ammar in attendance supporting the girls, alongside sponsors for the season, AMT and Play Design.

Under 18 MW: Bromsgrove started very slowly and under pressure they conceded two early goals, however after these two goals, Bromsgrove started getting into the game more. They were holding their own until a mistake led to the third goal being scored. Bromsgrove switched on and created chances themselves.

After half time, Bromsgrove continued to pressure the opposition and created many chances but were unsuccessful in scoring any goals. Bromsgrove continued with this fight through to the very end, going on to lose the match 3-0. They are looking forward to their next game in April.

Under 18TL: Once again, their match was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch – it’s now seven weeks since they played. It’s a cup quarter final this weekend vs Sutton Coldfield.

The Girls’ set-up are recruiting for next year’s Under 18 teams – so girls in Years 11, 12 & 13 should contact Alan Williams on 07786983951 for further information.
