COLTS NEWS

Members of our Bromsgrove Sporting Colts FC set-up Jon Livesey, Richard Gladwin & Stephen Meredith recently visited Colts club chairman Bill Edge, who is recovering from an operation to remove some cancer.

He is on the mend and he will be back involved soon enough!

Courtesy of Jamie from Moving Forward Sports, Bill was presented with a framed shirt, which will be put up at Barnsley Hall – home to the Colts.

We hope your recovery continues to go well, Bill!

Our U13s are through to the National Semi Finals, in either Leeds or Liverpool, ahead of a final in May.

This was after they ran out 3-1 winners over the Coventry City Development Team

It was a superb win from the boys in torrential conditions!

GIRLS

Once again, the weather got the better of our teams, with two games postponed. One game did take place, due to a switch of venues.

Under 18 MW v Broadway Div 1

Bromsgrove started the first half very focused and in the zone, making good passes. Bromsgrove had chances to score but they were not successful, as the opposition’s goalkeeper played exceptionally well – Bromsgrove ended the first half 2-0 down.

During the second half, Bromsgrove came out with fire in their belly, and they created more chances. They scored a goal and kept having multiple chances, but were unable to score another goal as the opposition’s keeper played with the same mentality as the first half.

The opposition went on to win the game 3-1.

They are looking forward to their next game, against TGK in the cup. The Under 18 TL have a bye into the next round. The Under 9s do not have a game.

If there are any coaches that wish to be involved with the girls section, we are recruiting now for next years teams at all levels. Please contact Alan Williams on 07786 983 951.

Players aged from 15 and upwards who want to play in one of our teams, should contact Alan.
