MONTHLY AWARDS: Roberts & Tee Celebrate Successes

At our game against Leamington, defender Aaron Roberts and attacker Conor Tee celebrated their awards for Player of the Month and Goal of the Month, respectively.

Aaron, who won January Player of the Month with 42% of the vote after a run of consistent performances, celebrated the occasion with Leamington match sponsor, Bevan Edwards, of Reel Bromsgrove, who also chose him as Sporting Man of the Match.

The centre back, who is sponsored for the season by Moving Forward Sports, commented: “I would like to thank those who voted for me, as it’s good to be recognised by supporters for doing my job well.

“I’m glad I have shown fans, past and present, what I’m capable of, and I hope to repay more of the faith the club has put in me.”

Conor, who won December’s Goal of the Month with 69% of the vote for his long range belter in our 4-1 win over Long Eaton United, marked the occasion with Dan Roberts, whose 178 Comedy Club sponsored the award.

The playmaker, who is sponsored for the season by UIS – Utility Innovation Services Ltd, said: “I’m very happy to win goal of the month and thanks to everyone who voted. It was similar to a goal I scored against Stratford earlier in the season; I received the ball on the left and cut in to find the far corner.

“I’m looking forward to getting back from my injury, getting back amongst the goals and helping the team to climb the table.”

The February Goal of the Month award will be sponsored by BHM Energy.

Our congratulations go to both Aaron and Conor – well done both!
