New Finance Director Announced

Bromsgrove Sporting FC Appoint Local Businessman Richard Boorn To Club Board

Bromsgrove Sporting FC, are delighted to announce the appointment of local businessman Richard Boorn, to the club’s board of directors as the new Finance Director.

The appointment quickly follows the announcement that the club will now be run by the three-man delegation of Brian Seymour-Smith as Chairman, Paul Molesworth as Director of Football, and Craig Cotterill as Executive Commercial Director.

Richard has followed Bromsgrove since he was a child and is extremely passionate about ensuring and securing the financial welfare and future of the club.

He ran a highly successful Adhesive business and advised a number of boards in the USA complementing a worldwide consultancy agreement. He has also served on Worcester City Council, being a cabinet member for finance returning a surplus in all years he held the position. He maintains a number of trusteeships for local charities, but now winding down to retirement allowing him the time to support the board.

Brian Seymour-Smith, Chairman, Bromsgrove Sporting FC, said, “Richard has an exceptional record as a highly successful businessman with very strong local roots. His knowledge of business and the club will greatly bolster the professional financial way in which this club is run. I know he will prove to be an invaluable member of our new team.

“At the same time, Richard has spent a lifetime supporting this club and has a fantastic rapport with our supporters, and so I know his appointment will be greatly welcomed by everyone connected with this football club.”
