Ahead of Tuesday’s Pitching In Southern League Premier Central match, away at Leiston (7:45 KO), manager Gavin Hurren has previewed the fixture, as well as reflecting on Saturday’s postponement.
“Saturday was frustrating. We travelled down and were ready for the game – the match got called off when we pulled into Peterborough Sports’ ground.
“My thanks go to all the fans who made the journey on Saturday. It was a massive shame they didn’t get to see the boys play.
“My dad and uncle also made the trip, so I can empathise and share the disappointment of those fans who travelled down. Whether you travelled by car, coach, train or however else, your sacrifice and support is truly appreciated and does not go unnoticed by myself and the lads.
“Onto Tuesday, and it’s going to be another long journey, as we travel to Suffolk to face Leiston.
“It is undoubtedly going to be another tough match, as they are up there fighting for a playoff spot in what has been a very good season for them.
“As with every game, I’m looking forward to it and we will be doing all we can to get a positive result.”
NOTE: This game is subject to an 11am matchday pitch inspection
