COACHES’ CORNER: Bren Kelly previews Worksop Town FA Cup tie

Ahead of Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup Second Round Qualifying match, at home to Worksop Town, manager Bren Kelly has previewed the fixture, starting with a nod to a famous football film…

“When Saturday Comes. What a brilliant football movie.

“Wouldn’t it be great to have an ending just like that this Saturday for us, as we face Worksop Town in the FA Cup at the VG.

“As mentioned in my post match interview last week, myself and the players are really wanting our Sporting faithful to bring the noise and create a lively atmosphere for the game – both this Saturday and going forward.

“The lads are working extremely hard and and that extra push from our fans will really enhance their appetite.

“We enter the game in good shape – we have two doubts over a couple of lads, but we still have a strong squad available.

“Training has been excellent this week and the camp is in good spirits. The squad are growing closer and closer each week and it’s showing on the pitch, so long may that continue.

“It’s a great opportunity for us to progress, having been drawn at home, and we will absolutely endeavour to get the right result.”
