CLUB NEWS: Volunteers Required

With pre-season friendlies now coming up, we need more people to help out on match days this season.

Stewards

Stewards’ main job is to help and advise visitors and spectators and deal with any issues; however, we do not expect volunteer stewards to deal with any difficult problems; that is done by our safety officer and security officers if present.

We offer free admission and, depending on the type of match, other benefits are available. Training is provided and
with COVID-19 measures in place, all stewards will be provided with protection and fully briefed as to their role.

For anybody interested, further training can be provided to obtain a BTEC qualification.

First aiders

We need more people to be first on hand to deal with anybody who has an accident or a health problem. Once initially dealt with, our crowd doctor normally takes over. Some form of basic first aid training is essential, such as that provided by the Red Cross or St John’s Ambulance.

As with stewards, free admission and benefits are available.

Anybody interested in these positions, please email hello@bromsgrovesporting.co.uk

Ground work

Finally, we need volunteers to come along during the day to help tidy up the ground – mainly weeding and sweeping up.

No need to contact us, just come along any day between 10:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and ask for Brian or Joe, who will get you working.
