OPPOSITION

  • This season so far: P26 W18 D6 L2. GD +30. 60 points. They sit 2nd (of 22 teams)
  • This season (away league games): P12 W8 D2 L2. GD +11. 26 points
  • Last five league games: W4 L1
  • Last five league away games: W2 D1 L2
  • Most recent league game: 3-0 home win vs Stourbridge (Saturday)
  • Most recent away league game: 3-1 win at Sudbury (17th January)
  • The Bees sit in second, but they are only a point behind leaders Spalding, with three games in hand.
  • Their two league losses have come against Stourbridge (17th December, 2-1) and Spalding (10th January, 3-1). Both were away and have been inside their last five away games. Prior to that Stourbridge defeat, they were 18 unbeaten in the league (W12 D6) and eight unbeaten away in the league (W6 D2).
  • With 20 goals conceded in the league this season, it is by far and away the lowest total – seven less than next lowest Real Bedford, who have played two games less (on the road, they’ve conceded 12 – also the lowest in the league).
  • In away matches, they have picked up the third most points, with 26 – only Spalding (30) and Quorn (27) have gotten more, but Harborough have played two less than both.
  • Their two away league draws have been vs Barwell (1-1, 29th November) and Leiston (2-2, 20th September).
  • Five teams have scored more than their 23 on the road.
  • Harborough are one of three teams to have won their last four in the league – the other two being Banbury and Real Bedford. Only Banbury (13) have picked up more points in every side’s last five league matches than Harborough’s 12 , whilst only Spalding (13) have scored more than Harborough’s 12.
  • 6 of their 20 goals conceded this season in come in their last five – six teams have conceded less across this same period. Three were against Spalding – the only time they’d conceded more than two in the league this season.
  • In terms of their last five away games, they have the seventh best form in the league. Six teams have conceded less than their eight and five teams have scored more than their nine.
  • They have only failed to score in one league game this season – a 0-0 versus Stratford at home on 21st October. So, they haven’t lost to nil in the league, and have scored in every away league game this season.
  • It’s been six on the road in the league with no clean sheet – the last being a 0-1 win at Quorn on 18th November.
  • They have won six of their last seven league matches, with no draws since the aforementioned Stourbridge loss in December.
  • They were knocked out of both National cup competitions by National League sides (FA Cup – Altrincham, FA Trophy – Carlisle)
  • Top league scorer, as per footballwebpages.co.uk – Riley O’Sullivan (8 – scored against. Interestingly, 18 players have scored more in the league this season). O’Sullivan and Ben Stephens have both scored in their last two matches.
