Well – what a night! Aston Villa’s first European success for 44 years was witnessed by a packed UK Electrical Stadium, on what was a brilliant event for everybody connected with Sporting.
Big screens, both inside and outside, ensured a superb fanzone experience for everybody who attended – the outdoors providing a unique setting that had never been tried before at Sporting, whilst the brand new indoor large screen offered an equally outstanding view of the action.
That wasn’t the only new thing the club tried on Wednesday evening, with the opening of the new look Hangry Moose proving to be a roaring success. The Bottom Bar has been completely fitted out over the past few weeks by the team at Elliott Nash Ltd, with the result being a stylish, sleek and scrumptious burger restaurant – for all to enjoy!
Club spokesperson Darren Alderson commented: “Last night’s Aston Villa Fanzone event at Bromsgrove Sporting FC was a fantastic success, with nearly 500 people coming together to create an incredible atmosphere.
“It was a exciting game and a great result for the Villa, which made the night even more special for everyone in attendance.
“We are absolutely delighted with the turnout and would like to thank each and every one of our guests who helped make it such a memorable evening. On behalf of the owners, we truly appreciate the incredible support shown at our very first event.
“What stood out most was the genuine family and community feel throughout the night, which is exactly what we wanted to create from the very beginning.
“The feedback from the crowd has been overwhelmingly positive, and the energy and excitement throughout the venue showed just how special these events can become moving forward.
“This is only the start for us, and we’re committed to creating even more community focused events as we move forward starting with the World Cup events through June where the tables are already selling fast, so we’d encourage everyone to get involved early and secure their place.
“A huge thank you again to everyone who attended and made the evening such a success.”
