This week’s Wednesday Words comes from goalkeeper Reece Francis – he talks recent results, this Saturday’s upcoming game versus Dunstable Town and reflects on an emotional time at the club.
“Where do I start… Last week was a frustrating week in the camp, with a 0-0 (away to Aylesbury) and 3-1 loss (to Corby in the FA Trophy). But that is all put into perspective with the sad news of losing one of our own in Thomas Jones – I would like to send my full regards to his family and close friends.
“Back to the football, the squad was really disappointed with the 3-1 loss at the weekend, knowing we could have done better. But I’m sure the gaffer and his staff will get us working hard and put the wrongs to right, ready to keep our league form up to scratch and get three vital points.
“Once again, it was amazing to see over 900 strong on Saturday – it means a lot to us players that you are there, week in week out!
“On that note, next Tuesday (16th October) is the game in memory of Tom and I hope we treat it as a normal home game and get the ground full for him and show his family we are one and support them.
“Hope you all have a brilliant week and see you Saturday! Up the Rouslers.”
