Sporting’s latest goalkeeping recruit Dan Crane delivers this week’s Wednesday Words, where he talks the Bedford Town defeat, the Corby game tonight and realising an ambition of his…
“Firstly its great to be at my hometown club – Bromsgrove Sporting is a club I always had ambitions to play for before I retire.
“It’s been a tough week on and off the pitch for the team, after the high of last weeks win we were brought down hearing about the news of the gaffer’s (Bren Kelly) dad.
“As a team, we were desperate to get three points for Brendan but as a team we fell short.
“We started well but didn’t take our chances, then got punished. Sometimes, losing, you can learn a lot as a team, so we will learn our lessons and grow as a team.
“Football is a great game and we don’t have chance to feel sorry for ourselves, as we have a massive chance to put things right with a huge game against Corby.
“The away support has been brilliant and really appreciated by the players – we hope to see as many of you there as possible tonight.”
