Bromsgrove Sporting are thrilled to announce its second retained player ahead of the 2026/27 season; its another fans favourite – Luke Softley.
The classy defender, who proved himself to versatile across a number of positions at the back last season, had an outstanding debut season in a Sporting shirt – he scooped the Players’ Player and Directors’ Player of the Year accolades at the end of year awards, and was the only player during the 2025/26 campaign to win two Player of the Month votes.
Speaking about staying with Sporting, as the club begins an exciting new chapter, Luke said: “I’m delighted to have signed for another season. I’m really pleased on a personal level with what I achieved last season, gaining two awards.
“I’m looking forward to this season and, as a team, we want to be competing at the higher end of the table.
“I’m really excited with what’s happening at the club and to be a part of it. I can’t wait to get started and see our brilliant fans soon. Up the Rouslers!”
