PLAYER NEWS: Nathan Hayward returns

Bromsgrove Sporting are delighted to announce that the club has agreed terms with Nathan Hayward for the midfielder to return to the club.

The central midfielder was a pivotal member of our Southern League Division One Central play-off winning campaign, finishing second in the fans player of the season vote.

Nathan, who played 63 times and scored eight goals in his first spell at the club, also won the Bromsgrove Sporting Supporters’ Society Player of the Season, Managers’ Player of the Season Award (joint, with Josh Quaynor) and Sponsors’ (Champion Security Installations, Bumble Hole Foods & Elliot Nash Ltd) Player of the Season (joint, with Jack Wilson) after the 2018/19 campaign.

Manager Bren Kelly commented: “I think deep down. myself and Nathan knew he would always return. He was outstanding for us in his debut season and was my player of the year during the Step Four campaign.

“It was a turbulent start to life at step three and he parted company with us, but he’s back now and I’m excited to work with him again.

“Nath felt at home whilst he was with us and he’s extremely keen to be wearing the Rouslers red shirt again. He knows the staff and the players already, so he will settle quickly and be a huge asset for us.”

Nathan commented: “I’m very happy to be back at Bromsgrove Sporting again. The past is the past and I’m now looking forward to being back at where I feel at home and looking forward playing under Bren and Mase (Andy Mason, assistant manager) again.

“I’d like to thank Stourbridge and their fans – it’s also a great club and I thank them for my time there and to Andy the chairman, who is a top bloke, but I feel I made a home at Bromsgrove and look forward to kicking off where I left – in front of the mighty Rouslers faithful.”

We hope you will join us in welcoming Nathan back to the Victoria Ground!
