With Wednesday’s play-off semi final versus Sutton Coldfield Town looming, we are getting insight from some of our players, looking at the fixture and the season as a whole. Here is defender Tom Taylor’s take…

“All the lads were disappointed not to end the league campaign with a win and the three points, but it was probably a factor that heads were thinking about the big game Wednesday.

“We was previously on a very good run, being unbeaten in 13, and we have done the basics right, which is something we will need to do on Wednesday.

“I haven’t played Sutton myself, but from listening to conversations, they are a very organised team, who possess threats, so we are going to have to turn it on!

“We are lucky to play in front of the best fans and they have been nothing short of spectacular all season.

“Every single one of them has made me feel welcome and settled into this club and, home or away, the team have them in our locker to sometimes drag you through a game.

“One game that stands out for me was Kempston Rovers away; the weather was awful and they stood in Baltic conditions, singing all game.

“Wednesday will be no different; we have to make sure we turn up, because our 12th man will!”
