Bromsgrove Sporting are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Greg Mills from Stourbridge.
Greg is no stranger to Sporting fans, having scored the only goal in the Glassboys’ 1-0 Emirates FA Cup win over the Rouslers at the Victoria Ground last month.
He makes the same path from the War Memorial Ground to the VG as striker Mikey Taylor, who has himself impressed in a Sporting shirt thus far, scoring seven goals in just two starts.
Commenting on his move, Greg said: “I’m really excited to get started. It’s a massive club and I have only ever heard good things.
“It’s a club on the up and I’m excited to join the journey. Hopefully, I can excite the fans and hit the ground running.”
On Greg’s capture, manager Bren Kelly commented: “I am over the moon to secure Millsy from Stourbridge; his stats speak for themselves and I really believe he is a perfect fit for how we try and play football at Sporting.
“From speaking to him this week, he is so keen to do well for the club and is so keen to be a part of us, which has impressed me.
“I would like to thank Mike Burke (Chairman), Graham Scott (Director of Football) and the Sporting Board for their support with this transfer.
“To tell them about a player I am interested in and for them to go and do the rest in regards to the transfer just shows the mutual trust we have in each other and that we share the same ambitions which is fantastic.
“There were at least five clubs that I know of that also wanted to sign Greg – four of which were at the same level and probably bigger clubs, with more resources, so for me, it speaks volumes on how much Greg wants to be here, so welcome to the club Millsy.”
We are sure you will join us in welcoming Greg to the Victoria Ground!
Note: This move is pending confirmation from the FA & the league
