We have received this advice regarding coach travel to the game.

“Chesham United from M25; Coming from the South (or from M4/M40)

Take Junction 18 off the M25 taking the left lane of the slip road to turn left on to the A404 to Chorleywood /Amersham. You will follow this road through Chorleywood straight through 2 sets of lights. You will then pass a school on your left handside, about 1 mile down the road from there you will see the road bear to the left with a right turn to Chenies and Latimer, take this turn and follow the road in to Chenies, this road will lead you to Chesham, you will see a manor house to your right as you follow the road for about 3 miles. You will eventually find yourself on a one way system at a ‘left turn only’ junction, you will shortly pass an open air pool to your left, follow the road under the bridge, Chesham United is the 2nd exit off the roundabout. This route is not suitable for Coaches!

Coach route – Follow the A404 going past the Chalfont & Latimer Undergound Station, going straight over the mini roundabout, you will now be on The White Lion Road, follow this road until you see a roundabout, take the right exit under the bridge. Follow the road straight across the next two mini roundabouts and bear right at the next mini roundabout, you will see the Boot & Slipper on the corner of the roundabout. Follow straight over the next roundabout following the road to the roundabout at the bottom off the hill, the entrance is directly next to this exit, it is a tight exit, a coach would need to do a full circle on the roundabout to get in.”

Last time we met

The reverse fixture vs Aylesbury United was on 1 September, in which Sporting ran out 5-1 winners. A hat trick from Cameron Peters, plus goals from Richard Gregory and Craig Jones helped Bromsgrove notch up their second home win of the season (from as many games). The full match report can be read here.

Video highlights of that match can be viewed here.

Manager’s preview

Manager Bren Kelly’s preview of the game can be read here.

  • Aylesbury United currently lie 14th in the league, amassing 41 points from 35 games (Sporting sit 2nd, 81 points from 35 games).
  • Home – P17 W6 D1 L10. Away – P18 W6 D4 L8.
  • Aylesbury United have only won one of their last six games – this was a 4-2 away success vs Kidlington.
  • The other point they picked up in this time was courtesy of a 1-1 draw at AFC Dunstable.
  • This match is the last of a run of three in which they have played the top three teams. They lost 2-1 at home to Corby Town, before succumbing to a 3-1 away defeat at the hands of Peterborough Sports.

Your support, as always, would be massively appreciated – we need you as we enter the final stages of this season, in what is our penultimate away game!
